We had a lot of fun working with Wailing//David. Their edgy and crazy style allowed us to really get creative with different elements of their wedding video. During their “how we met” they expressed that they met for the first time at Georgia Tech, only to find out that they had grown up a couple blocks away from each other in Miami! Miami had bonded them together while away at college and it would now be the location for their special bond in marriage.

We were especially excited that Wailing //David wanted us to film their rehearsal dinner, a traditional Chinese tea ceremony in which the groom comes to the brides home in seek of the parents approval. If they accept, the tea serves as a symbol of their blessing. Aesthetically speaking, this was a beautiful and exotic ceremony to film due to the traditional Chinese attire and the nature of the ceremony. At the reception, the décor and flowers were exceptionally special for the bride because it was the work of her family’s business, Chan’s Silk Flowers. Another exciting element was the Chinese Dragon show that surprised guests during dinner. Needless to say, this Miami-Chinese fusion provided for a unique celebration.

The day of the wedding was one of those rainy Miami days so we really got to take full advantage of the JW Marriot Marquis for footage. This worked to everyone’s advantage because the modern look of the hotel went perfectly with their crazy and cool style. We even had a chance to put together a wedding teaser remix! Their love for hip-hop inspired us to get creative with some Beyonce and Jay-Z. Check out the teaser above!
