So our story with Melissa and David is very interesting. During our first meeting with Melissa (David was out of town), I quickly realized that this girl had a very creative spirit. I could sense in the way she described things and her passion for the work we were doing. Upon further conversation, I realized that she actually attended Full Sail in Orlando which is just down the street from where I actually attended film school at The University Of Central Florida. Our schools actually collaborate often on film projects. From there it was on. We brainstormed every aspect of her wedding film. It was almost like a true film production shoot. We thought outside of the box on almost every aspect and they were down to try anything. It was everything we could ask for.
From there, we asked her where her wedding would take place. First, the ceremony would be held at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. Following that, her reception would take place at Vizcaya Gardens. The moment I heard that, we couldn’t get anymore excited. That has to be one of our favorite venues just because of ambience of the location.
One of the things that I loved about this wedding was the blending of cultures and styles. Melissa’s family comes from a strong Cuban heritage. Melissa’s family owns Padron Cigars which is well established cigar company with a lot of history. Having a creative spirit themselves, Melissa and David’s creative style and friends made this wedding an incredible environment to be around. It was fun, energetic, and exciting. As artists, we couldn’t have felt more at home.
