It all started at a car race. Ashley Vickers met Ed Brown and started talking. Their encounter began a conversation between Ashley and her best friend, she couldn’t figure it out but there was something about this guy that made her feel different, something she had never felt before. With a little help from their friends their paths crossed again a year later and they have been together ever since. The nuptials took place at the beautiful Vizcaya Museum & Gardens and with Lourdes Milian as their planner, we knew that not a single detailed was overlooked. Their ceremony was officiated by John Paul DeJoria-and the bride walked down the aisle in a beautiful Galia Lahav gown. Guests were treated to a Gran Patron Platinum bottle of course (Ed is CEO / Car Racer for Patron Spirits Company) as a wedding favor.

Five years ago Ali & Mike met through a mutual friend at work. Her friend insisted that she should meet him, not given much thought to her friend’s suggestion-she finally approached him at his cubicle and introduced herself. Ali admits that after two weeks she told Mike that she was going to marry him-although it took him a little bit longer to get to that point, he told us that after a few months he knew that she was the perfect woman for him. The wedding took place at the Breakers and was executed flawlessly by Posh Parties. With Powerhouse & DJ Adam Lipson for entertainment it was non-stop dancing for this couple and guests. It was great working with the photographer Alain Martinez-a true professional and great talent-we were able to capture all these great moments this wedding offered!

Janet & Javi’s destination wedding took place at Casa de Campo in the Dominican Republic. Guests watched the couple exchange their vows in front of the St. Stanislaus Church-a beautiful stone building in the center of the village of Altos de Chavón. The couple first met in high school and had the same group of friends but fear of ruining the group dynamic they decided to stay just friends despite their mutual attraction to one another. Fast forward ten years later and they both reconnected once again. Janet who is the founder of Vixen Workout (an intense Hip-Hop Cardio dance class) attributes her success to Javi-who always pushed and believed in her even when she didn’t. True to the Vixen brand-the reception had a fun club atmosphere-where people danced the night away.

Chrissy & Charlie met in the summer of 2013 while she interned as an associate for the law firm he worked at. After interviewing Chrissy, his co-workers decided to pair them together and Charlie became her mentor. Although, Charlie waited until the end of the internship to ask her out they spent most of the time just talking or how the groom simply put it... "spent many billable hours discussing anything and everything." Once Chrissy returned to finish her last year of law school, Charlie spent the next year traveling back and forth to Washington, D.C. to visit her.
As per tradition the couple exchanged weddings gifts. Charlie who is American was given a Cuban Family survival kit-which included a guyabera, cigars, domino set, and a bottle of Paraiso Rum-which we think added such a special touch to their wedding day. The groom surprised the bride with a Cartier bracelet just before getting into her dress.
The couple chose to have a Same Day Film play at the end of the night. We captured so many beautiful memories with them but especially her dad’s speech-in which he expressed his deep love for his daughter and the great joy he sees in his daughter since meeting Charlie.

The tale behind this Galia Lahav gown is a love story in itself. Groom-to-be, Michael, surprised his fiancée, Liliana, with this stunning black gown for their fiery save the date shoot. Michael first saw a photo of the gown during Lilana’s wedding dress fitting. With Liliana’s measurements already in the hands of Boca Bridal, he was able to purchase this exclusive dress without any speculation from his soon to be bride. On the day of their shoot, he surprised her with this beautiful gown which fit her like a glove. This proves that our brides are not the only ones with impeccable taste. We can’t wait to see what the wedding day holds for this gorgeous couple.
Elise and Oscar met in 2nd grade but it wasn’t until 6th grade that their romance began to blossom as they went out for a “whopping 3 hours" before Oscar got nervous and broke up with her over the phone, as he puts it “how is a man suppose to take out his woman at 12 years old.” As the years went by their affinity for one another grew, Oscar would even make up excuses just to spend more time with her, even claiming that his printer didn’t work just so he could go over her house. Their trip down the aisle has been 18 years in the making and their vows to one another were filled so much emotion as they made their promises to one another and before God. With beautiful flowers and decor from A Joy Wallace, the ceremony site took place at the church the couple are members of (Christ the Rock Community Church), a cross filled with white phalaenopsis and hydrangeas served as the focal point of the ceremony. The venue chosen for the reception was the St. Regis at Bal Harbour-and here shades of purple filled the Astor Ballroom. The bride wore a beautiful Berta gown and changed into a second dress for the couple’s choreographed first dance to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” Having collaborated with the couple in creating a unique Movie Trailer for their Save the Date ... it was only fitting that Elise & Oscar would choose to share their special day with a Same Day Film that played at the end of the night. We want to thank Lourdes Milian Productions for executing such an beautiful wedding!

Betsy & Eric met through a mutual friend back in their freshman year of college at Emory University. Their wedding reception took place at the historic Flagler Museum, where guests were welcomed with their signature drink, a Moscow Mule. It was our first time working with the talented Elizabeth Messina, whose work is revered in the wedding industry. Elizabeth and her team where a delight to work with. The couple’s sweet and calm nature made this four location wedding (along with all the planning of JCG Events) run smoothly. Fun details such as a craft bar menu, gorgeous floral arrangements by Tom Mathieu and Co., and music by the Powerhouse Group made this evening a beautiful event to capture.

We are so blessed and honored to share the Wedding Concept & Reception Films of Matt & Rod. Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to meet with Matt. He shared with us a bit about his relationship with Rod and their history. Needless to say, they were extremely excited about documenting and creating a concept film for their wedding reception that would take place at the Cruz Building. The idea was simple yet complex. They wanted to recreate a film that showcased the last 10 years of their relationship ultimately wrapping up at a very special occasion. This film was to be showcased at their Wedding reception at the Cruz Building in Miami prior to their entrance. Of all the projects we've had the pleasure to work on, this is definitely one of our favorite. It is unique, different, and touching. We are so proud to share something that is so uniquely untraditional in nature.
In regards to their Wedding Celebration Event, it was out of this world! The event took place at the Cruz Building in Coconut Grove. The event featured fun surprises for guests around every corner and all floors. The party featured an enchanted speakeasy in the Bayous of Louisiana, a woman in a dress with 65 foot train, an acrobatic champagne lady, a 10 tier cake to represent their 10 years together, a prohibition bar featuring actors engaging with guests requesting a password to get your drink, chandelier girls, & exotic peacocks! This party had it all!
